NSMRJB Board Responsibilities and Requirements
The NSMRJB expects a strong commitment from its Board members. Since the primary purpose of the Board is to raise funds for medical research, our Board members must make both time and financial commitments.
Our fundraising is supported by direct solicitations of gifts and by several events sponsored each year by the NSMRJB. We require our Board members to volunteer their time and energy as active participants in these events.
Following are the guidelines that we look for all NSMRJB Board Members to follow:
(A.) Contributions- Each member shall contribute personally, or shall secure contributions to the NSMRJB of at least $500 annually. Contributions made to the NSMRJB by person solicited by a member will count towards this amount. Donations or merchandise can also count towards this requirement.
(B.) Attendance and support of NSMRJB Events- Each member is expected to attend the fundraising events and other activities conducted or supported by the Board.
(C.) Attendance at NSMRJB monthly meetings- Each member is expected to attend at least 6 of the Board’s monthly meetings during the period of one calendar year.
(D.) Dues-Member shall pay dues of $40 annually.
