North Suburban Medical Research Junior Board

Please join the North Suburban Medical Research Junior Board (NSMRJB) for their Third Annual Walk-a-thon.  On Sunday, June 2, 2013, participants in the walk will enjoy a morning of entertainment, provided by CHARIZMA, sports, bouncies, pony rides and family fun.  Last year the walk raised more than $15,000 and with your help we hope to surpass that in 2012!  Last year the walk raised more than $15,000 and with your help we hope to surpass that in 2013!

Thanks to the generosity of TREK Bicycle Store of Highland Park, we will be giving away a brand-new 20” TREK bicycle (boys or girls). Each family’s name will be entered in the drawing and you must be present to win!

Please plan to join the North Suburban Medical Research Junior Board (NSMRJB) on Saturday, October 19, 2013 for a fabulous evening of food, fun and philanthropy to raise funds for important Pediatric Brain Tumor Research at nn & Robert H. Lurie Children’s Hospital of Chicago . 

The North Suburban Medical Research Junior Board (NSMRJB) is dedicated to raising funds for pediatric research to help ensure a healthy and productive future for the next generation.

Founded in 1996, the NSMRJB is an Illinois not-for-profit organization, and serves as a junior board to the Medical Research Institute Council (MRIC). The MRIC, an affiliated organization of Children’s Memorial Hospital, has been raising funds for medical research in Chicago since the 1950′s. Both the NSMRJB and MRIC work to promote activities and community awareness for Children’s Memorial Hospital.

Since its affiliation with Children’s Memorial, the NSMRJB has raised more than $1.6 million to fund creative research in an amazing array of disciplines through a wide range of fundraising events and activities. NSMRJB support has led to advanced investigation in cancer, genetics and developmental biology at Children’s Memorial Research Center, one of a handful of free-standing facilities in the nation devoted exclusively to pediatric research.
